Bas ·ket ·ball(ˈbaskÉ™tËÅ'bà ´l)- a game played between two teams of five players in which goals are scored by throwing a ball through a netted hoop fixed above each end of the court. If you were to ask the average person what basketball is that is the answer you ll probably get, but it is much more than that.
